Don`t miss your chance to experience the rooftop this year! π
Open through October, this weird rooftop has a giant school bus hanging off the side, a giant Praying Mantis, tons of slides and things to climb, and Big Eli Ferris Wheel! π‘ π

Today, 125 years after it was first installed, this Louis Sullivan cartouche has been installed again on the 4th floor at City Museum.
This piece was originally created for the Gage Building in Chicago, IL. Built: 1898-1899 Removed: 2015 (Building is still there. Cartouche removed because it was deemed in poor shape.) It took the scenic route getting here, but we`re thrilled it made it!
What is a cartouche? So glad you asked: It is an ornate or ornamental frame, also an oval or oblong figure (as on Egyptian monuments) enclosing a sovereign`s name.
π The more you know πΆ

A mystery egg sack filled with spiders has popped up in the stairwell.
We`ll keep you posted as things develop π
