Need a Little Guidance?

Let us show you around. We offer guided tours full of the weirdly wonderful stories behind City Museum.

Pro Tips

Here are some tips from the playground pros that will help you enjoy your time at City Museum.

Skip the Line

Ticket lines can get long in the morning; buy tickets online to avoid a wait.

Protect Your Toes

We recommend sneakers or closed-toe shoes. Flip flops tend to get lost in the ball pit.

Prepare to Crawl

Pants or jeans are best for sliding, crawling and climbing. We also sell knee pads in the Gift Shop.

Label Your Littles

In a museum full of tunnels and slides, a phone number written on your child’s wristband is helpful.

Pack Light

Leave bulky bags and cumbersome coats in the car or rent an on-site locker.

Our Lot

We offer secure, well-marked and lit car and van parking right outside our door. It’s enclosed by serpents at 16th & Delmar and is always $15. Electronic payments including Apple Pay, Google Pay, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express are all accepted. Members get $5 off parking (except on Sundays). Just show your Membership card to the Parking Attendant for the discount!

Other Lots

Several off-street commercial lots in the neighborhood offer paid parking, often using our name. They are not related to us but are conveniently located near City Museum.

Wherever you park, be aware of your surroundings; be sure to put all bags, suitcases, purses and gear in your trunk, and remember where you parked.

In a Bus?

Drop passengers at 15th & Lucas and park in front of the meters along Delmar.
